I have had an interesting night. For the last 3 days (now 4), my 1 year old has been spiking temps of 39.5C. I have been able to get it down, then it’d go right back up an hour later.
Yesterday we went to the Dr and he was concerned about temp, if it didn’t go away to go to hospital.
So I went to hospital at 8pm last night. We waited about 15 mins to talk to the nurse coz you have to see her first. We were the only ones waiting but it still took 15mins. We then sat for 1 hour waiting, which was extremely good. I was expecting like 4 hours at least.
They were very busy in the paediatrics area, so it took a while before anything could be done for us, but that was ok, as my daughter wasn’t convulsing or anything.
We got home about 6am. She has 2 infections, different meds to take and we got 3 hours sleep, including her all night. The nurses and Drs were fantastic and I am so grateful for their help. They were all really friendly and explained everything really well.
There are a few more tests to run later, an ultrasound today and things, but it’s all looking good so far and she’ll be fine in about 7 – 10 days.
