Finding my summer style

Cue is one of my favourite stores, but for where I live and what I do most days their clothes are not really suitable. That doesn't stop me from loving their store and trying on clothes. (I did buy the dress in the top corner and the black pants on the bottom).

It is getting a lot hotter and I am not a summer person at the best of times. I have never really liked my legs so avoid wearing shorts.

I like maxi dresses but also feel swamped in them.

I have an hourglass shape and do love my body and am pretty happy with my size. I am toning up more and learning to accept and be happy with my almost glowing, white skin.

This weekend I plan on shopping for a bit of a summer wardrobe. I need practical items, but want them to be cute. The middle dress in the picture is something I would wear for school pick up and as a day outfit. It's cute, not too dressy and I won't look like I just rolled out of bed.

Ok, I don't normally look like I rolled out of bed, but jeans and a tee is basically what I wear every day. I tell myself it is because I have active kids (aged 3 and 5), which is true and I 'only' go to speech therapy, school and doing the groceries etc most days, you know, mum stuff.

I am sick of my 'mum uniform' though. I know what I like and am just going to start wearing it. It's funny though because I love a mix of real surfer chic, other days more classic/business style, but I also love the 1950's pin up look.

Since I have the business chic clothes pretty much down pat, I am now going to focus on the other aspects I want to have in my wardrobe.

How did you find your style?
