Training for 5km Colour Run

I wanted to do the Colour Run last year, but didn't get to. I have made it a goal to run a marathon and started training. Then some things in my personal life knocked me for a six. Yesterday I got back into it. The results were not pretty.


I ran less than I was running about 3 months ago. I got nauseous and ended up dropping to the ground at a park.

Pathetic! A seriously pathetic effort.

I have been extremely lazy though. We haven't even been walking to school and we live within 1km of it!

This morning I got my kids up early enough for us to walk. They weren't thrilled, but we need to stop being so lazy!

I've found a few places I can work out with them and have ordered some equipment to use in my house. When I am determined and working towards a goal I am good.

Knowing that about myself, I registered for The Colour Run. It forces me to train because I am doing a public run and I don't want to embarrass myself. A month after the run I am speaking on a cruise. A CRUISE!! I want to look good in a swimsuit.

I have the reasons to work out now and am determined to not look as pathetic as the photo above again.
